Edit subject in recipient email / Contact Form 7

Hello,

Have been trying unsuccessfully to edit the [subject] in the recipient email.
It appears as:
Subject: [your-subject] no matter what I do :frowning:

Help appreciated. I did spent lots of time searching CF7 support but obviously I can’t figure this out.

Hey Daniel,

It seems to be because you have no subject field in the contact form:

In the contact form 7 form tab, please add a new text field where the field name is your-subject.

Sorry if I’m being really thick but what if I don’t want a subject in the form? Is subject a mandatory field?

The “Inquiry” only has “Question”
We are redoing this site with X and the other form is below.
Would like to differentiate which is which on email recipient.

If you want it to add the subject on the email body, but don’t wan’t to add text field your-subject on the form, please try to add plain text. Did I misunderstood why you don’t want to add plain text? Please clarify.

I tried just adding plain text, still get same result.

LOL figured it out, just use plain text, slaps forehead
