"Edit Page" gone from top bar Pro menu

Any idea why the “edit page” is gone from the Pro top bar menu after updating to 5.0? This seems to be happening sporadically and only on some pages some of the time. This is also happening across at least two sites I have updated.
Steps I have taken:

  1. Activated the parent theme removing all theme customizations
  2. Deactivated every plugin

There was no difference after taking these steps - the problem persists.

So doing a little experimenting after I wrote this thread I found a way to fix this… but not globally and I still don’t understand why this is happening. Please do not count this issue as closed but here is what I have found:

  1. Click on the regular “Edit Page” in the top bar (not the one under Pro/X - the default wordpress one).
  2. Click “Edit with Pro” (or cornerstone as the case may be).
  3. Load the builder and simply save the page.
  4. Reload it in the front end and the “Edit Page” menu item is magically back under the Pro menu now.

What’s going on here?

Thanks for updating in! Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 2.4.0
  • X theme 6.4.0
  • Cornerstone 3.4.0

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/). This is also a must have update if you have updated your WordPress to version 5.0.

_After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.-

Thanks for updating the thread.

RIght now we are in Manual Update phase. As of now I am not in a position to share ETA on automatic updates. However, it should not take much time as we in the process of gathering feedback from customers in manual update phase and after this we will have automatic updates with latest version of Pro Theme.
