Edit excerpt for post on essential grid

Hi there,

I would like to add an excerpt on the skin of the grid item (post).

Right now it is showing the code. I would like to add the highlights of the story as a manual excerpt. Please help.

What source did you add to your skin editor? Mine is correctly pulling the manually added excerpt. Would you mind providing your site’s URL and admin login credentials in a secure note?

I’d like to check the current version and test out other skins.

Hi there,

Instead of classic raw content to input the shortcode. I used classic essential grid and seems like it’s showing on the page now.

One thing though, the post/picture aka skin of the item seems to be covered by the third row on cornerstone. How do I go about editing it? Thanks a lot.

I would like to the title, the excerpt to be showing without having to click on the picture and I don’t want it to be covered by the picture in the bottom. If it’s a big issue I can just delete the “Grow with us” column. But I would like the post to show the meta, excerpt, and picture and stay static and without changing it on hover.

Hi there,

What’s the URL again? Could you try adding a gap element after the grid? Just about 1px size just to make sure the floating elements won’t go under.

Hello There,

Thanks for getting back to us. Instead of adding a gap, please edit the page back in Cornerston, click the column that contains the grid and in the column settings find the Customize and insert an inline css min-height: 450px;. This would set the minimum height of the column to avoid the next section from overlapping the grid items as you hover it.

Hope this make sense.

My other question was that I would like the title and the excerpt to be showing without having to click on the picture.

I changed the animation settings on the item skin but it just made the picture darker.

Please help. Thank you

Hi there,

It’s a setting in skin setting, but there are only 3 options, Top on Hover, Bottom on Hover, and hidden. Please try another skin, a masonry skin.
