Edit Contact form 7 - email signup form

The email list signup on the home page of mozartorchestra.org was created by my volunteer predecessor who has since abandoned my orchestra’s web project. Where/how do I edit the size/appearance of the email input text field and the submit button AND how do I add additional elements to this “section” of the footer, like in the attached example? Thank you!

Hello Ami,

Thanks for writing to us.

To achieve the given layout, you need to add the 3 containers please have a look at the given screenshot.
Center-Point-Footer-Builder-Pro

You need to set the self flex as custom and set the width as per your design.
Center-Point-Footer-Builder-Pro (1)

Now you need to add the Headline Element and Text element in the Container1 and Container2 for the Email form you need to add the shortcode in the Raw content element.

You need to style the email signup form as per your design for that you need to learn CSS and learn how to use the browser’s element inspector. In case you have no idea about coding you can subscribe to One where customization questions are answered.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Thanks for the layout help. Regarding the edits to the Email form, my question was WHERE was the edit done for the current form (not how to edit a new form.) For example, how do I have a “placeholder” text inside the text field? Where do I change the background color of the text field? It seems that more than one plugin was used. Thanks for helping.

Hey Ami,

To add a placeholder to the text field, you need to go to contact form 7 and edit the email lists signup.

Then follow this article.

And to change the color, background color, padding and etc. You need to do it via custom CSS, please note that providing custom CSS code is outside the scope of our theme support. You may seek 3rd party developers to help you with your problems or you can avail One where we can answer questions outside of the features of our theme.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.

Thank you for replying. Is Contact Form 7 the ONLY plugin used to create the email signup form on my site? Was the Themeco “Email Forms” plugin not used? If not can I delete it? Thanks!

Hello Ami,

You can still use the Email Forms. Find out more about it here:

Aside from the Contact Form 7 plugin, you can also use the Gravity plugin. You just need to integrate it with MailChimp or any other marketing automation and email platform.

Best Regards.

MY question is: Was Email Forms used to create the sign up forms on mozartorchestra.org, in addition to Contact form 7? Can I delete the Email Forms plugin without affecting my site?

Hey Ami,

Yes, the sign up forms was created using Contact form 7. You can delete the Email Forms and it won’t affect anything on your website.

Hope that helps.

Thank you!
