Edit Blog home page to change font size

Hi there

I have created multiple headers using the header builder in pro. The purpose is so that my hero image is full screen width on each landing page. Is this the best way to do it?

I have now noticed that the drop down element “Services” in my navigation menu is not working on any of my child pages. It is still working on the homepage and as far as I can tell, the headers in all child pages have the same settings.

What could be the matter and have I made it unnecessarily hard on myself by creating multiple header permeations?

Thanks

Hi There,

Instead of creating a bar on your header, please create a section with a background image for each page.

Please change the z-index option of your bar to 10000:

Hope it helps

Thank you. The menu is fixed but I am still having trouble getting the hero image background full width when inserted directly in a section. I have followed a few links and must be doing something slightly wrong.

Hi Esther,

Please make sure that your Page Template is set to Blank - No Container | Header, Footer

Then click the Remove Spacing option of your banner Section. This will make your section a fullwidth.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!

WOOHOO. I got it! Thank you so much.

Just one more thing. The magic trick for the padding on the left so that all elements across multiple rows and sections can be left aligned equally. I have played around with it and just when I think it looks right in one screen size (ie desktop) I check it in mobile it and it has moved by a few pixels so all elements are out of alignment. How can I set this so that the left padding stays consistent no matter the screen size? I am using the left margin where my body copy text aligns on the left as my guide for all other elements to line up. I am also using REM.

Hi,

Instead of using padding or margin, try to utilize the SITE MAX WIDTH (PX) and SITE WIDTH (%) under THEME OPTIONS > Layout and Design

Hope that helps
