Dynamic content excerpt displaying title

Hey guys,

Working on staging site, I’m running into this problem; blog post made in PRO.
blog post which consist of
-image

• dc title
• text
• image/video

Using dynamic element Post minimal to display the posts on home page
but the excerpt is also displaying the post Title.
How do I prevent this?

Looking at this topic; Excerpt in post created with PRO?
and his website: https://www.meetingrimini.org/press-office-test-excerpt/
it should be possible, or am i missing something?

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the Post(Minimal) element and deleted the Title from it but the Excerpt does not show the Title anymore.

If that is not the case what you are seeing at your website, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

I checked your site it seems that it is displaying the Post title and Post excerpt correctly on the home page. Please have a look at the given screenshot in the secure note.

The first two posts displayed are made with WP, the third is made with PRO. That last one has the title in orange, underneath in the excerpt the title is displayed again; first sentence starts with the title. As you can see there is no space between the title and the text/alinea; “Gastspreker Esther Karsch-Sprio van startGastspreker Esther…”

Hi @MeesterOntwerpers,

I have checked the Post you created using the Cornerstone and found that the Post Title has been added to the Headline element in the content, which is coming with the excerpt.

You need to remove the Headline to get rid of the Post Title is coming with the excerpt.

Hi @MeesterOntwerpers,

The Title has been added into the Content and that is why it has been added to the excerpt. I would suggest you add the Manual Excerpt to show that while showing the excerpt.

this means there is no way that the first TEXT element in the content is designated specifically as the Excerpt, so that the dc:post:excerpt is only showing that part?

Hello @MeesterOntwerpers,

Please note that the excerpt pulled from the post content, it would pull the first content from the post content. If you add the post content from the page builder, it would take the element content that is on the top or from the beginning. I would suggest you please follow the suggestions given by @tristup
