Duplicate root document in smartphones only

This is quite bizarre but I have the root document for all posts and pages load twice on smartphones. one as a document, the other as text/html. It’s been going on for some time, I think there is something that needs to be blocked. Please help, I will provide url and screenshot in a secure note. Again, this is only for smartphones, not desktop.

I tried troubleshooting but I couldnt find the problem, thats why im here.

Hi @Bark201,

I have visited the website on my Android mobile device and found it working perfectly, can you please check by clearing the browser cache of the mobile device. If that does not resolve the issue please let me know the name of the device and operating system you are using while having this issue it helps us to replicate it. Unfortunately, the given screenshot is also not accessible.

Thanks

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately you did not understand the problem. Please load the website homepage in google devtools, smartphone, not desktop. The root document is loaded twice like:

  1. www.mydomain.com (cached, 40ms)
  2. www.mydomain.com (not cached and no response, 400ms)

It adds an additional 400ms (approx.) to every page on the mobile site. There is no need for the root document to be loaded twice in every single page on mobile site. I will add a new screenshot in a secure note, please tell me how to fix it.

Hi @Bark201,

I have checked with many of our test sites and didn’t find the issue you mentioned, it seems that it is with your installation only. To recognize the exact reason, I would suggest you troubleshoot the following steps.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

We would also like to know, how it works after activating any default theme like TwentyTwenty.
If you discover that the issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
