Dropdown within a dropdown

Hi Folks,
I’d like to replicate the functionality of the Mobile menu found here: https://www.champlain.edu/

The dropdowns within the dropdown open and close on click but I can’t seem to get the Mega Menu to work that way. Am I missing something or do I need to use a different menu option?

Thanks for reaching out.
The Mega Menu element can be used for a similar type of Menu structure, or you can use the Off Canvas element with Navigation elements like Layered, Dropdown, etc. You may need to adjust styling and settings to achieve what you are expecting.

Thanks @tristup. I can’t seem to get the open close functionality to work though. And the Toggle is set to click but the menu opens on hover and I don’t see how to change this.

Can you please please share your website URL along with the login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Hello Gregg,

I have checked the example URL and I am seeing this:

Nesting Dropdown element just like what you have now is not the way to replicate the example site.

If you want to replicate this, it is best that you use the Navigation Collapse Element inside the Dropdown menu element. You must create a Menu with the child items to be able to pull it off. I have created an example header with the mentioned elements in it. Kindly check out the secure note below.

One more functionality question on this. I want the main Toggle (hamburger with the word Menu) to remain fixed but would like the dropdown to scroll with the page. Not sure what CSS controls to use.

Hello Gregg,

We are now seeing that you have applied the suggestion in my previous response.

You can change the Sub Menu Trigger so that you can also click on the “Academics” to go to the Academics page while clickng on the arrow down icon will open the submenu.

Please also make sure that links you have added to the submenu items are correct because at the moment, it throws an Error 404 or page not found.
