Dropdown does not expand outside the container

Hi there,

I am trying to get my dropdown menu working with scrolling of the menu items. But the dropdown menu will not exit the container. If I cancel the scrolling of the menu items the dropdown menu appears as it should.
I’m working on it for days but I can’t find a solution. Probably I’m overlooking something.
Can you help me with this?
Thanks.

Peter.

Hello Peter,

Thanks for writing in!

This seems to be a issue of z-index. The bar that’s holding the navigation element should have a higher value then then following elements. Please adjust the z-index values and then see how it goes.

In case you still facing issues, please share website login details in secure note for us to take a closer look.

Thanks.

Hi there,

still got the issues. I send you a secure note.
Thanks for taking a look.

Hey @PeterSmits,

Thank you for providing the credentials. I checked your setup and you had content scrolling turned on, please note that content scrolling is not applicable and it must be disabled when you have sub-menus in your navigation. I went ahead and turned it off and it seems to fix the issue.

Hope this helps!

Hi there,

I was just wondering if scrolling and submenu’s will work together or if there was some kind of workaround. Since my menu items will not scale on a mobile devices I have to try something else. Probably build a new menu structure.
But thanks for your help.

Hey @PeterSmits,

Currently it is not possible to have content scrolling turned on with submenus however we have submitted this to our issue tracker as a feature request so the developers will be made aware of it.

You can restructure your menu items for mobile devices to make them visible. You can follow the suggestions here https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/header-inline-issues/53304/2

Hope this helps!
