Drop down only clicks top half

In my woo commerce store, I have variable products where customers choose options using drop downs. The first drop down behaves correctly.

It works fine in Safari & Chrome on Mac, but in Firefox/Mac and Chrome/PC… the second drop down doesn’t activate and open unless you click in the top half of the button. How do I make the second drop down activate no matter where you click? For all people and all browsers?

Hello @kvpadmin,

Thanks for asking.

Can you please share website URL for us to take a closer look?

Thanks.

This is one product I know for sure is giving issues… https://www.singh-ray.com/shop/a-13-warming-filter/

Upon further testing, this seems to be an issue in different ways on different browsers too. It’s a little different in each…

iPhone (everything updated): I can select the 2nd drop down but the first does nothing when I click it.

MacBook 1 (everything current)
---- Safari & Chrome: I can click and select from any dropbox. (Everything as expected). ---- Firefox: I can click as expected in the 1st, but in the 2nd one, only the very top of the drop down will activate it. Stylesheets seem to be ignored on these here too.

MacBook 2 (user hasn’t confirmed version/update status)
---- Safari: Can only activate drop down in top right corner, on all drop downs.

Hi There,

Thanks for the details.

I check in both mac/firefox and mac/safari din’t find any issue with the drop down selection. Its working fine as expected. Here is two video for that.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ESCQoM7CEmquzYjU4jsLd4ZqQhPEJg4V/view?usp=sharing (Mac/firefox)

I check in iPhone 6 with IOS 11.2.1 and its working as expected.

Please check and let us know the browser versions and OS you are facing the issue.

THanks

But your video only shows you using the 1st dropdown. If you select Filter Type and then you try to select size, the size dropdown will only activate if you click in the top right corner.

Both MacBooks are running same version or Safari. No idea why one would work and the other not.

Customers are unable to make purchases due to this issue. It’s happening on all the products

Hello There,

This issue must be related to your other thread which I already have responded.

We will need to check the overall aspect of the page. There must be a conflict somewhere in the site that has affected other parts of your site as well.

Please provide access so we can investigate further.

How do I send a private message with the login info for you?

Please put a secure note by clicking in “key icon” on the list.

Hope this is clear.

I don’t have a key icon showing.

Hello There,

I have fixed the JS code. Still the error exists because it appears that you have modified the header.php and footer.php in the parent theme.

This is the the correct way of adding the script. Please remove it first and install Insert Headers and Footers plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/). This plugin will give a a better way to add a script for the header or footer of your page.

Please let us know how it goes.
