Draft save in Cornerstone

Hi guys,

First of all let me say great job with the theme and cornerstone I really love the theme and the builder.

I have issue kinda related to the revisions, I saw a lots of comments on this topic and all of the customers there have a good point why they need revisions, personally I never thought that this is a big issue because I always have backup of everything, database, pages, post, everything just in case.

My current clients asked me a simple question “How we can review the changes made in Cornerstone on live page before we publish the changes?” and I told them that they cant and they put a hold on making the site live before we found solution for this issue.

This is financing company that have many employees and more than one employee will be making changes on live pages and all of the changes needs to be reviewed and approved by their managers before they publish the changes and we have few issues here.

1. They cant save the page as draft because that page is live and needs to be live
2. Duplicating pages makes mess because there are more than 200 pages on the site even if they duplicate pages after managers approval they will need to recreate the changes on the live page and that is double work and lost time.
3. They cant afford to just hit that SAVE button because that will make the changes live immediately and every change needs approval.
4. Template saving wont work because all of them needs to save the template and then send the template to the manager and the manager needs to load the template on the page and see the revisions and believe me the managers do not like and do not have time to learn that, believe me I tried and they are not IT guys or Web Designers so they can understand how all of this works.

So my question is is there a way to save changes in cornerstone on a live page as draft so the admins can see the changes and when they approve to make the changes live, something like draft cornerstone revision.

This is not a problem for small companies and for 1 or 2 IT guys or girls working on the site but its a massive problem when 20+ people working on the site and edit live pages in cornerstone and all of them needs approval before pushing the changes live.

Unfortunately, you do not have any options regarding this. But the feature you want is not even available in WordPress itself. I wonder what would you do for a live page which was created with the standard WordPress editor and not Cornerstone. How would you draft a live page for review?

Actually, the Cornerstone does not interfere with the normal flow of the WordPress pages and the way they publish. So whatever solution you find for a normal page of the WordPress should work on Cornerstone too.
