Downloaded Pro Template File Won't Import

Hello,

I downloaded templates from one of my Pro sites and I’m trying to upload them to the template manager, but it keeps saying “Uh oh! Sorry! Your file is not properly formatted.”

Pro downloaded several templates as a .tco file. What’s wrong? Everything is up to date. Only a few plugins are activated. Help is greatly appreciated! I can provide login in a secure note.

Please make sure that your other Pro Theme powered website and the link you have shared in secure note is of same version. Having said that can you please share the template file with us using file sharing application like Dropbox, so we can test on our end too?

Thank you for the credentials, yes I get the error from your templates even on my dev site. But I was able to upload a different template, this means the issue is from exporting. Would you mind providing the site where that gvc-templates coming from?

Well, it’s kind of the same site. I was having some issues with the domain (I did the A Record wrong) and so I made a backup, downloaded my templates and then deleted the whole thing. Then re-added my domain and started from scratch. I wanted to import the templates I’d made so I didn’t have to start completely from scratch with what I had designed so far.

Thanks for the clarification!

It’s really difficult to understand what exactly issue in the template without checking the content.
As there is an issue importing the template, we can’t exactly confirm what could be the issue.
There might be some content with invalid HTML format which is causing the issue, but without checking we can’t confirm the issue.

The only way is to create the page again.
