Downloaded demo content website wont restore from backup now

Hello there!

I thought I was working on a test site, but was on my live site… I uploaded demo content and re-wrote my website. My hosting site and Wordpress both have backup options… however when I try to restore, it is still not looking like it did! Please tell me I didnt delete the whole site like an idiot!

Thanks for writing in! Please revert back to the state prior to the demo content upload. You may need to revert back the day before you have imported the demo content. Please asked further assistance from your hosting provider as they’ll have more access to your backups in specified time and dates.

Well the thing is its a mixture of the demo content AND the old site after completing a backup. I have reached out to my host provider to see if they can help me on their end, as my backups aren’t helping much! But thanks for the reply! I assumed it SHOULD be that easy.

Thanks for updating the thread.

If you have the backup of the day prior to importing the demo contents then I don’t think there’s should be any issue and demo content should not show up. Having said that it’s a better option to have a word with the hosting provider support team for more information on the same.
