Downgrade Cornerstone after update

Hello,
We’re manteining a website made on X theme,
due to the high level of customization we it’s quite risky update the theme and Cornerstone plugin;
unfortunatly one employer has updated Cornerstone from version 5.3.3 to 6.1.4 and that broke the layouts / styles.
We’ve manually replaced the plugin folder with the 5.3.3 version and in frontend it looks okay but in editing it is stuck on the loading screen (same also if we go to x > cornerstone).
Tried to replace version string in database but nothing changed.

Any suggestion? Which tables/meta can we check to downgrade to the 5.3.3 version?

Thanks for reaching out!

I suggest that you disable and delete the current Cornerstone plugin installed on your website. After that, you will see a notification in the upper part saying " You’re almost ready to start using X. Please click here to install and activate the required Cornerstone plugin."

Just click the link and it will install the Cornerstone plugin that is compatible with your X version.

Tried but when clicking on the notice “click here to install and activate” it gives error: Unable to install Cornerstone. Il download non è andato a buon fine. Non è stato fornito un URL valido

Anyway I solved it by uploading the 5.3.3 zip of cornerstone.
Uploading an older version gives the forced update to 6.1.4 that breaks layouts.

Thanks anyway, deactivating, unistalling and re-installing fixed it!
