Double pages with and without /

Hello, my SEO specialist found a strange problem on my site . Some pages are displayed double. With and without /

example:

https://www.jitty.nl/damesmodel
https://www.jitty.nl/damesmodel/

The strange thing is other pages act like you would expect, https://www.jitty.nl/contact will redirect to https://www.jitty.nl/contact/

Why does this not happend with https://www.jitty.nl/damesmodel ?

Thanks for looking into this!
Cheers,
Ronald

Hello Ronald,

I am not sure exactly with your site setup and the plugins you were using. To make sure it will redirect properly as expected, you might try to use a redirection plugin. Hope this helps.

Hello Lely,
thans for your answer. Making a redirect is not an issue for one page, but the problem is on more pages. I am not asking how to make a redirect. I am asking what is causing this problem. Hope that will clarify my question.

Thanks
Ronald

Hello Ronald,

Thanks for updating the thread.

I checked the website and looks like you are using WP Rocket Cache plugin. In that regards it’s difficult for me to take a look at plugins that you are using and website setup. Can you please share website login details in secure note for us to take a closer look?

Thanks.

sure! Thanks

Hi Ronald,

I tried to scan and I can see yes there are double content but it is pointing to english and netherlands content but not actually with trailing slash.

When I actually load this: https://www.jitty.nl/damesmodel it correctly redirect to https://www.jitty.nl/damesmodel/

Sorry do not agree. I did encounter such a redirect but tis happend after I have visited the page with slash, if a clear browser cache and go to the without slash it will not redirect.

Thanks
Ronald

Hello Ronald,

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, I can confirm that when I tried to visit the pages without slash it doesn’t redirect. It doesn’t happen specifically on this page only: https://www.jitty.nl/damesmodel, but rather on all links without slash. All of them do not redirect to pages with slash.

I did some investigation and I found out it is a conflict between YOAST and WPML. Please check this thread please. Thank you.
