Does Hiding Sections on Smaller Screens affect performance?

Hi,
I have a one page desktop site with many elements I want to show only few of them in smaller screens, mobiles and tablets. So which would be better option performance wise. Hiding sections or creating an alternative site for mobiles.
Does hiding section on mobile screen adversely affects the performance and load speeds?
And how does the hiding section works?
Hidden sections are loaded but not displayed or Hidden sections are not loaded?

Hi there,

As the name of the feature suggests, the ‘Hide section’ would simply hide the section depending on what was set on the setting. All of the sections on the page still gets loaded and they get hidden or displayed through CSS media queries.

As for the site’s performance, it should not have any astronomical effect as long as the page does not load up a lot of sections and content.
