Documentation

I have been searching the KB articles for simple product documentation - How To’s for (Cornerstone, X) that is usually presented in a very structured way explaining all of the options that appear on the product pages.

But here in Apex the product docs are buried in the forums and searching for a simple request like “Templates in Cornerstone” doesn’t get me anywhere near the documentation about using templates in Cornerstone.

Do you have a dedicated space only for product documentation that are presented in a linear, easy to use fashion, that are not mixed with all of the other support questions?

Thanks

Michael

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in.

The only available Knowledge Base is from here https://theme.co/apex/forum/c/themeco/kb

And the search result is probably mixed from KB and user topics. What do you like to know about Templates in cornerstone? Maybe it’s something I can help with and maybe we can add it to our knowledge base section.

Thanks!

Hello, thanks for your reply.

Using Cornerstone, in particular, the Card element, there are options on the bottom left for ID, CLASS, and STYLE. I am looking for more documentation on how to use these fields.

For example, I want to style the back only (not the front) of a Card element to be left aligned instead of the default center aligned. I have tried all sorts of styling and variations of a simple style, to no effect. I would like to add a class tag to the BACK TITLE AND CONTENT field, like this:

Back of the Card content...

and then simply define this class in the CLASS field at the bottom as
.left {text-align: left;}

but no joy.

I always start working from the page documentation. In lieu of that, I searched the KB but couldn’t find anything.

Thanks,
Michael

Hey Michael,

Regretfully there’s no option for that so you need to use CSS. We don’t have specific document for that either as listing all classes available in X and Cornerstone will be lengthy. Moreover, we expect users who wish to customize X to understand CSS and how to use developer tools. Please see https://youtu.be/dlQrFFwAC_A for a tutorial.

Thanks.

Hi, Me too, where on earth has all the documentation gone, this is unusable.

Hi There,

As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated and we hope to try and address your points in as it helps us to make the forum better and better.

For now you can watch this clip on how ID, CLASS, and STYLE works. Keep in mind that you need to have an average understanding of CSS before you can use those fields effectively.

Have a great day!
