Disqus Comments not showing on all posts

Hello,

I’m having trouble getting the Disqus Comment Box to appear at the bottom of some of my posts. Before posting this comment and asking for help, I’ve read all of the articles, links, troubleshooting tips and potential conflicts Themco has posted to other users. None of that solved my problem. I’m at a loss, so I’m asking for help.

Here’s the strange thing. The Disqus Comment Box appears and works fine on a post or page that was created using Gutenberg. Here’s an example: http://www.arlingtondarts.com/17-factors-that-make-a-great-steel-tip-dart-bar/

However, it does not appear on a page or post built using Pro/X Theme.
Here’s an example when not working: http://www.arlingtondarts.com/dartboard-setup/

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sean,

We might need to check your settings to compare difference. Although, usually, when someone complain with this issue where comments are not showing consistently, it is because of this settings: Settings > Discussion > Automatically close comments on articles older than __ days

If certain post published date match on that filter, comments will not be shown. Can you confirm that is not the case on yours? If not, please do share site URL, username, and password inside a secure note so we can check.

Hello,

That was one item I read on other posts, and I’ve always had that unchecked. The strange thing is that the Disqus Comment Box appears and works fine on a post or page that was created using Gutenberg, but it does not appear on a page or post built using Pro/X Theme.

Not sure what to do next.

Hi Sean,

Thank you for providing the credentials, I created a new page with Pro and the Disqus comment box is working fine, please see http://www.arlingtondarts.com/test/

I checked your other page where the Disqus comment box is not appearing, you were using one the the Blank page templates which doesn’t have the comment section enabled by default so i changed your page template to Default and it fixed issue.

I’ve been using X/Pro for a few years now, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this setting panel. Now I know! :slight_smile:

Hi there,

I’m trying to import the existing comments from wordpress, but of course following the instructions on the disqus page doesnt work, because of the different configuration it has with pro. Can you help me? Thanks,

Hello Louisa,

Please create a new ticket as posting on a ticket created by a different user causes lot of confusion which slows down the response time. In that regards for a faster response time without creating confusion, please create a new ticket and someone from Themeco support team will assist you.
