Display & Formatting Issues In Internet Explorer 11 - X Pro

Hi,

Just finishing up a new site and although me and (nearly everyone else on the planet uses a secure, modern and up to date browser), I’ve come across a problem where someone is using Internet Explorer 11 and the site is a complete mess on that browser - looks like Flexbox isn’t working.

I rely heavily on flexbox for site design these days.

Microsoft are sunsetting IE 11 in August 2021 - but technically it is still supported.

I clearly state that I don’t support design/development for out of date browsers.

Their issue is, the business IT administrator is rolling out software updates to Edge Browser in the new year.

Naturally, need to find a temporary fix for this in the meantime.

Hopefully the abomination that is Internet Explorer will be archived as a relic from the past that should never be uttered again, but in the meantime…help.

I’ve added site links and login details in a private note.

Hello @DannyC,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully we do not have any controls over the old browsers when using the new CSS technologies. Please be advised that IE11 partially supports Flex layout. Kindly check this out:

The best resolution is to use the classic section, rows, and columns. When using the v2 elements, the flexbox needs to be disabled to make sure that the layout will display nicely in older browsers.

Thank you for your understanding.
