Display Blog posts like recent posts

Hello,

I’d like to display my articles in an archive page the same way the recent posts are made :

a div with the featured image as a background like x-recent-posts-img

a div with my content (title - meta) like x-recent-posts-content

I would like to have my featured image as the background image of the entry-featured div

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! You can achieve the similar layout using Masonry Style. Navigate to Theme Options > Blog > Style and select Masonry. You can do the same for Archives too.

Thanks for your reply.

I already have a masonry style but it’s not the same.
In the blog the entry-featured contains the image, whereas in x-recent-posts-img the image is displayed as a background-image.

My wish is to have all the images at the same size and cropped like the recent posts display.

any ideas ?

Hi Reazle,

The blog page structure is controlled by a page template and if you want to change it, you will have to customize the codes in the template file. Unfortunately, this is something that we cannot provide assitance on because it goes beyond the scope of our support.

However, an option you might want to consider is using The Grid plugin to display your posts. It comes bundled with X so you can simply install it from X > Validation.

You can then create some grids that will show all your posts then select the skin that matches your criteria.
