I have a website called Soundproof Central which is about soundproofing guides for homes, home theaters and media rooms. I have installed the disable comments plugin because I didn’t find a default option for disabling all comments for certain posts. Like I want the comments to be enabled in the Soundproofing Guides category whereas I want them disabled for Soundproofing Materials category. Is there a way for such selective enabling/disabling of comments?

There is no such default functionality what you are looking for.
You have to use any third-party plugins or custom code for this. We are really sorry but this is something out of our theme support scope.
