When viewing Pages is there a way to disable the standard “Edit” function and keep “Edit with Cornerstone” only. I have an Admin user who continues to click “Edit” and regardless of the Warning saves the page which then (as we know) is no longer editable in Cornerstone. I want to keep this user from doing this again, so I don’t have to completely rebuild the page each time this happens.
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
It’s doable through a filter admin_bar_menu, you can use the sample here https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/how-to-remove-edit-post-from-admin-bar.
add_action( 'admin_bar_menu', 'remove_wp_logo', 999 );
function remove_wp_logo( $wp_admin_bar ) {
$wp_admin_bar->remove_node( 'edit' );
}
Then add the code to your child theme’s functions.php
Hope this helps.
