Disable portfolio cpt

If a client isn’t using the portfolio cpt, is it possible to disable it, so it doesn’t show up on the admin menu?

Thanks for writing around! There is a way to hide it, just add the following code in your child theme’s functions.php file:

add_action('admin_head', 'hide_portfolio');

function hide_portfolio() {
  echo '<style>
    li#menu-posts-x-portfolio {
    display: none;
}
  </style>';
}
