Difficulty setting up blog

Hi I need help making my root page of my blog look like this http://demo.theme.co/renew-10/blog/
and my actual blog pages to look like this http://demo.theme.co/renew-2/5-reasons-you-need-the-x-theme/
but I need just a lead magnet and latest posts on the right sidebar and nothing else ?

Hi there,

Please create a page that will be the blog page then go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays then select A static page and set the page that you have created as the post page.

Then go to X > Theme Options > Layout and Design > Content Layout and select Content Left, Sidebar Right.

And go to X > Theme Options > Blog > Layout then select Fullwidth.

Please also set X > Theme Options > Blog > Style to Masonry with 2 columns.

Once you’ve done these, your blog page should be fullwidth and the individual post should have a sidebar.

You can edit the sidebar content in Appearance > Widgets > Main Sidebar.
