- X-theme update install wipes out cornerstone pages, I finally got the pages back on my own, but now without a lot of wasted hours.
- Cornerstone new blocks won’t hold styles like classic blocks. I’m actually cutting and pasting things like “h1asdfasdf/h1” from the new block into a classic text block to get it to work…same exact code, one works, one doesn’t.
- New blocks allow errors, it’s happened a few times that I’m working too fast and I have left off a closing or whatever, and the whole page breaks. This was never a problem before.
- About 10 times now, I’ll be working in Cornerstone and the whole page will go blank. I will have to refresh, unsaved, and lose all my work.
- Some of the new blocks, like the new text block won’t allow for a style…that’s silly, or am I missing it?
- Footer has very randomly become a sidebar without any changes other than installing and activating child theme
- the new content blocks are really difficult to use
- The windows in the content blocks should be larger, they’re hard to work in

Please confirm you are fully updated and have flushed the cache of any cache plugin you have.

This definitively should not happen. Do you have any cache plugins? Did you turn off while performing the update?

The new elements come without style in order that you can style your self. As the original Theme Options / Customizer styling is not compatible with the new elements they will start free of styles. Or developer are already working on it in order that the starting point of the elements be the same as you have set on Customizer/Theme Options. In the meanwhile, you can still use the classic elements which will have the same functionalities as before.

This actually happened on the previous versions, if you forget closing a tag it can break the whole page as the page is rendered in HTML in the browser.

Can you provide the credentials and provide the specific page where that is hapenning so we can take a closer look?

You have all the options to style the element on Cornerstone tab just as on the header builder, can you provide more details about what specific functionality is not working on your end?

Ah! Don’t you hate when you try to make sometime fantastic and people who can’t accept change revolt? It’s still a great product.
I will try to be more specific. I think what bothers me most today is the text window in the text blocks of cornerstone. It’s annoying to have to click an extra step to make it pop out. I would rather just jumping in and edit.

Thanks for the feedback, our developers have just improved the text box, I understand your point of view and I believe if more people have the same opinion they will take and make changes again on this element. The product is still being improved based on the user’s feedbacks and I am sure once we pass this turbulent phase clear skies will be waiting for us.
