Different sidebar on blog posts depending on post category

Hi,

I have created multiple sidebar design that are shown on pages that i use as blog index pages.

see here: https://businessmasterclass.de/idee-finden-und-starten/

However the blog post marked with a category only shows the MAIN sidebar while it should show the category specific sidebar.

see here: https://businessmasterclass.de/test-2-1-category/

I can manually activate each post or page under appearances/sidebars but this would mean i would need to assign the correct sidebar to every single post.

Is there a way X can show the category specific sidebar by default. simply by selecting the taxonomy. i tried this here but i can not make it work.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in!

By default, when you create a custom sidebar in Appearance > Sidebars, the newly created sidebar can be assigned to a post or a certain taxonomy or category. Regretfully there is no option available where a certain sidebar will show the category specific sidebar by default by simply by selecting the taxonomy and this sidebar will display in a post bearing that category. Please keep in mind that a post can be assign to two or more categories. Having what you wanted may create more issues and ma even break the site. What you have wanted may only be possible with custom development which is beyond the scope of our support.

Thank you for your understanding.
