Did Security Update, Now Page Missing

I noticed our meet the team page is off-line for some reason. Web guy and were in there fixing a security issue that we got resolved, it end up being a picture that was a link somewhere weird, so no big deal and we got the SSL updated and working good on all browsers finally. But perhaps we “bumped” some thing while in there, or perhaps an update, not sure. I went into WordPress and everything looks fine on the back end for the meet the team page. The individual team member pages for each of us shows up online fine but the meet the team page above those individuals pages does not load.

My web guy said, “I went to look at the page and the Meet Our Team page has no content on it right now. Looking at the backend, it appears Cornerstone has been removed from that page because all the coding is visible in the content section of the page. No idea how that would’ve happened. It does appear that Cornerstone has had a massive update since I last looked at the site and the UI is completely different. Perhaps that caused the issue. Unless there’s some way to copy the content back into Cornerstone or have Cornerstone relink itself to the content, it appears that page will have to be rebuilt manually.”

Later he said,

“I see the CSS and other coding that Cornerstone would incorporate into the plugin in the content section, so that would lead me to believe that if Cornerstone could simple be rekindled to the page it might uptake the data immediately. I’m not sure it if has that functionality, though. I know other page builders have that functionality, but this page is the only time I’ve used Cornerstone. I believe you can tell Cornerstone to mimic a page and that may be all you need.”

Is linking it difficult? I’ve been left sort of high and dry and a bit lost scratching me head. Can any kind soul take a look for me as I don’t know how… Cheers!!

Hello @Galatia,

Thanks for writing in!

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 8.2.2
  • Cornerstone 5.2.2
  • WordPress 5.6.2
  • PHP 7.4

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog:

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

The issue could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

Testing for Plugin Conflict
Theme Update
Child Theme
CSS/JS Customization
Increasing PHP Memory Limit
Disabling Cache
Disabling CDN

Please let us know how it goes.
