Desktop version showing on mobile

Hello,

when I edit my page in cornerstone and switch to mobile view, I see the mobile version (see first image below). This is exactly what I want to see on a mobile device. However, when I load the page on a mobile device, I see the desktop version (see second image below). I suppose I am doing something wrong but I cannot find the cause. Can I fix this?

Thanks for the support,
Kind regards,
Jonatan

Hi there,

I have tried checking this on my mobile and it seems to be displaying fine.

Were you able to get it sorted?

Hello Jade,

thanks for checking and the reply.

I am glad that the correct version is showing on your mobile device (ios) but on my device it still shows the desktop-like version of the page (Android 7.0,) on the google chrome browser and the samsung internet browser.

Kind regards,
Jonatan

Hi there,

Please clear your browser caches, this is what I’m getting on my end.

Tested it Android 7.0 Nougat’s chrome and Samsung internet browser.

Thanks.

Hello,
thank you for the support but I keep on struggeling with this.
I cleared all the cahes/history/cookies on both my device and a IOS device and I still don’t see the lay-out as shown in your post.

Are there any other things I should try to soplve this?

Kind regards,
Jonatan

Hi,

I got a step further in this.
Apparently when someone types the exact location of a page http://web.growyourself.be/praktijk on a mobile device, it is responsive and the mobile version is showing.
When someone types the webadress or is linked to http://praktijk.growyourself.be (that redirects to the page http://web.growyourself.be/praktijk). The page is not responsive for the mobile device.

Is this something to be ssssolved in the X-theme/cornerstone plugin or is it related to the DNS administration?

Kind regards,
Jonatan

Hey Jonatan,

I checked the page http://praktijk.growyourself.be/ which is actually pulling the site http://web.growyourself.be/praktijk/ via iFrame. It’s not a recommended way. You should migrate your site to the actual domain instead of showing it via iFrame. Please see http://www.wpexplorer.com/migrating-wordpress-website/ and https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress for further assistance or you can use a plugin for this purpose as well please refer to https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/8-plugins-for-safely-moving-wordpress/

Hope this helps!
