Is it still possible since version 4.3.3 to add content or layout templates from the design cloud without creating a page? They used to just go into templates with the handy thimbnail image. I’d rather not clutter my site with extraneous pages just to test something from design cloud.

Also when you do create a page from design cloud, they have no status, so they don’t show up in the standard pages listing in the Wordpress dashboard.

Regretfully, you will need to create a page.

I’d recommend you create a test site whether in your local computer or online server and test the templates there.
