Hi Alex,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I imported both the demos locally as a test and both works fine, the cause could be some limitation in your server. Please contact your web host to increase the following server settings to the values specified below or greater.
upload_max_filesize = 100M
post_max_size = 100M
set_time_limit = 5000s
max_allowed_packet = 16Mb
innodb_log_file_size = 128mb
Also verify if your site fulfills the general requirements listed here https://theme.co/docs/version-compatibility
Let us know how this goes!
Unfortunately, it didn’t work despite updating the user.ini file
Hello Alex,
Please go to X > Status, copy the results and paste it in your next reply.
We need to check your settings. And if it is possible, you can provide us your WP credentials instead so that we can investigate further. You may create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/how-to-get-support/288

Hey Alex,
I don’t see the WordPress Username and Password. Please add them in a Secure Note as asked in our previous reply.
Thanks.
Hello Alex,
It seems that we cannot login to your site. Can you please provide the WP Admin url as well?
Thanks.
Hello Alex,
When I check the URL, I am only getting this:
Please double check.
Hey Alex,
Please have your host try increasing the following PHP settings to the specified value or to the maximum the web host can increase.
max_execution_time = 60000
max_file_uploads = 500
max_input_nesting_level = 1000
max_input_time = 60000
If that still doesn’t help, regretfully, I’d recommend you move to a better web host configured to support modern WordPress sites. As an example, our demos can be installed even in the lowest shared Namecheap web host plan.
Hope that helps.
I’m currently having further wp trouble which I guess might be THE real reason; can’t import stuff (json, dat or xml) so I’d rather relax and have a smoke.
Many thanks for your help.
Hi Alex,
Some out of the box suggestion, try doing a plugin test, you could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
Thanks for the suggestion. I’m way back beyond this…Got a white screen, used plugins.deactivate, of no use. So I decided to go for a clean install rather than erase htaccess because of the nasty trails…
Cheers,
Alex
Hey Alex,
I missed adding previously that the allow_url_fopen
in your server must be On
. That setting allows your server to retrieve data from other servers. That was Off
as far as I remember. Please contact your web host to enable it.
Thanks.
