I Delete Essential Grid. Later, I re-added the plugin. It’s asking me for an activation code, but I can’t get it to work since it was part of a bundle
Hello Benjamin,
Thanks for writing in! You do not need to register and activate the Essential Grid plugin. You should be able to use it along with its functions and features. All of the updates will be provided by us since this is a bundled plugin. Please be advised that in the latest release of the plugin, the template import will now be an exclusive feature only available to those who have purchased a separate plugin license.
Regards.
Here is where i messed up. I deleted Essential Grid from my Wordpress entirely. Than later re-installed it. It’s not coming up as part of the bundle anymore. So I don’t have a code and can’t seem to get the bundle working.
Let me show you the message:
If you purchased a theme that bundled Essential Grid
- No activation needed to use / create grids with Essential Grid
- Update manually through your theme
- Access our FAQ database and video tutorials for help
Hi Benjamin,
Are you not able to access all the features of Essential Grid anymore? If you are just seeing the message as an info message, you may just ignore it.
In case you’re not able to use any of its features, please provide us with the admin details of your site in a Secure Note so that we can check it.
Thank you.
Thank you i just did!
Hey Benjamin,
I’m sorry but I don’t see the username and password to access your site. Jade asked for the “admin details”. Please give us the following info still in the Secure Note
- WordPress Login URL
- Admin level username and password
Thanks.
Hi Benjamin,
Thank you for the credentials but the password provided is incorrect, please check.
In the meantime, please deactivate and delete the Essential Grid, then clear all your caching features/plugins and log out to your site. Then login back and re-install the Essential Grid under Pro > Validation > Extensions or in X > Validation > Extensions. But make sure your X or Pro theme is validated first, or else you wont be able to install any bundle extension from the validation dashboard.
As of this writing, the latest supported version of Essential Grid is 2.3.6, if you have that version then that’s good.
If this is the notice that concerns you, then you can ignore it. The update will come from us and for now, there is no Essential Grid bundle update.
Hope that shed some lights,
Cheers!
Hey Benjamin,
I was able to login to your site now.
To clarify, you said Essential Grid is not part of the bundle.
Upon checking though, Essential Grid is working fine and it’s part of the bundled plugins in our theme.
If your problem is activation, do you have an Essential Grid standalone license or did you purchase Essential Grid directly from ThemePunch and you want it validated? If this is the case, install a child theme and add the following code in the functions.php file of your child theme.
function x_essential_grid_theme_setup() {
GLOBAL $EssentialAsTheme;
$EssentialAsTheme = false;
}
add_action( 'admin_init', 'x_essential_grid_theme_setup' );
If you don’t have a standalone Essential Grid license, we have repeatedly said that you should not worry about activating Essential Grid because that’s normal for all bundled plugins. If this is your problem, we can do nothing but to close the thread.
If your problem is different, please detail what exactly it is you’re experiencing. And, please provide screenshots.
Thanks.
Yes I purchased Essential Grid as a package with X Theme.
I created a Child Theme and added CSS code. It didn’t work. But this is all very confusing for me. The bundled Essential Grid shows its activated but won’t let me use template functions. Doesn’t want to work right!
Hello Benjamin,
The plugin were installed and is now ready. You can create your grid and use all of the features and functionality to display your grid.
Your issue is that the bundled Essential Grid shows its activated but won’t let me use template functions. In my previous reply, I have mentioned this:
You do not need to register and activate the Essential Grid plugin. You should be able to use it along with its functions and features. All of the updates will be provided by us since this is a bundled plugin. Please be advised that in the latest release of the plugin, the template import will now be an exclusive feature only available to those who have purchased a separate plugin license.
This means that you can use all the features and functionality of the plugin except the use of template functions because that is exclusively available if you have purchased a separate plugin license. We do not have any control over this because this is the policy by the creators of the plugin and not by Themeco.
Hope this explains it briefly.
It does. dang! The templates are a necessary piece how do i get those?
Hello Benjamin,
If you want to get the templates, you will have to purchase a separate plugin license and register your plugin.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for your help
We are delighted to assist you with this.
Cheers!
