Defer offscreen images / Retina

Hello,

Google speed check mentioned that the site could be faster if “defer offscreen images” was done. But all the images have a larger size to make them “retina” … so is there a way with xtheme so that you can still have retina images but fullfill this google speed check requirement of “Defer offscreen images” ?

Hi Garlicfox,

The differ image functionality does is not related to the retina or none retina cases. The feature is to load the images on scroll and not on the initial load of the page.

You can use third party plugins to achieve the defer offscreen image functionality. Please kindly sear for Lazy Load Image in the WordPress plugins repository:
