Default image for Post Archive Thumbnails

Hi there, I was wondering if there is a way that I can add a fallback featured image to the thumbnail on the archive pages. I tried following: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-set-a-default-fallback-image-for-wordpress-post-thumbnails/ but I’m not sure if that actually works or which child theme file to edit. Thanks!

To achieve that. Try adding this code to your child theme’s functions.php.

          $thumb = get_the_post_thumbnail( NULL, 'entry-fullwidth', NULL );
        } else {
          $thumb = get_the_post_thumbnail( NULL, 'entry', NULL );
        }
      }

So you just need to update the $fallback_image variable to the exact url of the image. Let us know how it goes.
