Debug notices going wild

Hey guys,

I often build sites with WP Debug enabled - and your theme is spitting out way too many error notices.

Is there any chance you could clean up the exception handling around looper and a few others; it really floods the log. I appreciate this isn’t a production issue but it does drive me nuts haha.

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the latest version of Pro in my local environment with the WP_DEBUG value true* but didn’t find the issue described here. I would suggest you add the debug setup in the wp-config.php file to log the errors into the file name debug.log inside the wp-content folder.

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );

// Enable Debug logging to the /wp-content/debug.log file
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

// Disable display of errors and warnings 
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

@ini_set( 'display_errors', 0 );

Hey Tristup,

That debug configuration is how errors are already being logged on all the sites we build - that’s where the error log snippet came from

I will capture more of them as I continue to build, but since we are actively developing - we tend to clear the log often. Above are a few errors that I continually see across ALL of the sites - I’d imagine it would be relatively straightforward to check if the values are being declared correctly in your code

Hi Matt,

We never encountered the issues you mentioned here and never been reported before by any of the customers. So we need to know what exactly causes the issues, and the debug.log file may indicate the reason behind it. I would like to suggest troubleshooting the following common issue to help us to recognize the reason.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue **if you have activated it.
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.
If none of the above help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– FTP/CPanel credentials to access the files
