I deactivated Yoast an i lost in my SFM the categories.
The category paage is empty,
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
I tried finding it but what’s the SFM URL? Have you tried contacting Yoast author? If it’s category registered by theme, then it will be deactivated along with the plugin’s deactivation.
Thanks!
When i deactivate Yoast the SFM url stop working>
It just work again when I activate yoast and I put in search console “remove the category prefix”.
What to do to deactivate it?
My category base word is topics and not category…
Yoast said it doesn’t support arabic
Why?
Hi there,
May I know your SFM URL? I’m not really sure what’s that. Plus, it’s something we can’t fix either as this is more related to SEO and permalinks.
And you mean turning off remove the category prefix? You can simply go to your Yoast setting and turn it off.
And yes, it’s supposed to be category and not topics, and since Yoast doesn’t support it, you’ll have to create you own permalink rewrite which is a bit tricky and not simple. I recommend staying with standard permalinks provided by Wordpress.
Thanks!
Hi,
In settings wordpress / permalink / there is an option to rename the category base and the tag base.
I rename the category base to topics.
where can i have the SFM URL?
thx
Hello There,
Could you please give us an example of your SFM url when Yoast SEO is actice? We are not sure of what is SFM is. Please understand that SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO exist to fill in the absent features in WordPress.
Please let us know.
I am not able to deactivate the Yoast plugin because my it has affected the htaccess file permalink structure for category.
On SFM, the items are classified according to category but if in Yoast i enable “keep category URL” all articles under the category are clickable but when you click on the category it redirects to the main page.
Why this is happening?
I needed to enable remove category url in yoast so the SFM submenu work normally.
Plz don’t tell me to contact Yoast because i wast days with them and they are careless, They want users to pay for premium only.
I was willing to have premium from yoast but i change my mind.
Hello There,
Thanks for updating in!
SFM is SuperFly Menu? Please keep in mind that the SFM urls are dependent on the urls which you have assigned in Appearance > Menus. If you use the default links from the pages, posts and categories, there should not be a problem when you deactivate a plugin like Yoast SEO plugin. Just make sure that you have the correct permalink settings. After making any site changes, you may need to update the permalink structure and clear the cache. Hitting the “Save Changes” button in Settings > Permalinks is enough to update the permalinks. After updating your permalinks and clearing your caches, you must login to SiteGround and clear the site cache too.
Hope this helps.

I did a master flush. Nothing change.
I am seeing 2 categories. plz check the screenshot.
I disabled and enabled the plugin. same problem
It is OK.
It works now.
