Data-x-toggleable Issue

Hi guys,

I’m having a bit of an issue with the data-x-toggleable command that I just can’t work out from the documentation or the forums and I’m hoping you can advise on.

We have a series of modals that are activated by toggles. We would like some additional elements on the page to activate the modals, so I’ve been trying to use data-x-toggleable to activate the modal, but to no success.

I have tried adding data-x-toggleable and then value (in this case Fiona-Pearce) to either the Modal Custom Attributes or the Toggle Custom Attributes.

As far as I can see neither makes a difference.

I’d really appreciate it if you could direct me where I’m going wrong, and perhaps also elaborate slightly on the documentation on this one to make it clearer for other people.

Thanks

Tim

Hello Tim,

You should be using the Toggle Hash for the Modal and use the Toggle Hash as a button link.

Button Link:

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks Ruenel,

But I specifically want the whole column to be clickable (rather than just a button element), that’s why I was trying to get the data-x-toggleable attribute method working.

Is this not possible?

Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim,

If you already set the parent container clickable, it is not possible to allow the button to click inside it.

Thanks

Okay, but surely it doesn’t need to be a button inside?

Is there a way to make a whole column clickable and it launches a modal?

Hi Tim,

Yes, you can select the a as HTML tag for the column as shown in the given screenshot.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Ah that’s perfect, I didn’t realise that was an option.

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

Glad that we are able to help you.

Thanks
