Dashboard Redirect Issue

So a weird thing just started happening. When I’m in the Wordpress dashboard and I click “Pages” in the left hand menu, it sends me to the home page of my website. All of the other menu links take me where they are supposed to. Any ideas what it could be?

Hey ken,

Thanks for posting in! Based on the information you gave, I have a hunch that one of the following is happening:

  1. Corrupted Admin Menu Link
  • A plugin or theme might have hijacked the Pages link.
  1. Misconfigured User Role Permissions
  • Your user role might lack proper access (but other links work, so less likely).
  1. Plugin Conflict
  • A plugin (e.g., security, redirection, or admin menu editor) could be causing this.
  1. Database Corruption
  • The wp_usermeta or wp_options table might have incorrect admin menu data.
  1. Malware or Hacked Site
  • Malicious code could be altering admin links (check for unknown plugins/files).

Added the requested secure note!

Thank you for the info. It seems to be working correctly on our end – screenshot is available the secure note. Have you tried testing it on a different browser or device? Also, try to completely remove the browser history.
