Customizing Ethos with Cornerstone

Hello,
I need to know how I should approach customizing Ethos in Cornerstone.

1, Do I set up/select Ethos 3. in the demo content?
2. How do I import all the images and elements to then replace them with my images, text and elements. It helps to have your visual clues and makes it easier to follow what has been done?
3. It’s difficult to find placeholders if I cannot import the ‘DEMO’ as you present it.

I’m trying to do this on a step-by-step basis.

You have been very helpful to date and I appreciate it you guys are there for the stupid questions.

Hi Philip,

If you like the demo Ethos 3 , you can go to Wp Admin | X and load the demo.

Images are not included on standard demos, you will get placeholders instead.

The slider above the navbar can done by installing Slider Revolution Addon which you will find > on WP Admin | X

Once you have your plugin setup I reccomend you downloading a demo you like from :

Import to the plugin and edit accordingly to your needs.

Visit your home page, click edit page, on WP classic backend editor, you will find:

Slider Above Mashtead > Select the slider you have created.

I will try your advice.

So I need to import a slider plugin for the slider images above the Navbar? How do I edit that section in Cornerstone? I haven’t been able to access that part above the Navbar in previous attempts.

Just a thought, maybe in the future your developers will retain the images with LARGE WATERMARKS to make it easier to customize the demos.

Hi There,

Downloading a slider template is not mandatory but it will help because you will have a solid starting point instead of a blank slider.

You do not edit your slider using Cornerstone, you use Revolution Slider plugin to edit it.

There seems to be no link to download a slider from the Slider Revolution website.
How do I import the slider via Theme X?

Hi Phillip,

It is not possible to download through the theme unless you purchase the plugin separately.

To download from the referenced website above you need to hover the image and you will see an arrow down(download link) and a a link to the preview beside it. Please take a look:
