Customizer settings XCS file alternative?

So, I updated a site and lost many of my Customizer settings. (My fault – I neglected to first export an XCS file.)

Of course, I could restore this site from a backup, in order to export that XCS file, but that’s causing a separate bunch of headaches.

I’m wondering if there is a more manual way to retrieve the customizer settings from the backup files sitting on my hard drive? Is the info in a database table somewhere, maybe?

Thanks for writing in! The XCS file is coming from site meta options merge into one file. If you want to check it in the database, please find the wp_options table and look for option names that starts with x_.
