Customizer or cornerstone for custom css

It appears to me that they both of these work for adding custom CSS:
Customizer > Additional CSS vs. Cornerstone > Theme Options > CSS

Is there any reason to use one over the other? I prefer the black background of the ThemeOptions > CSS route, but it seems that it takes it awhile to actually see the updates on the website (although it “saves” the added css quickly). Am I imagining this?

Thanks for asking.

Please don’t use Customizer as X Theme has it’s own theme options panel. To add custom CSS, please add it under X > Theme Options > CSS.
