Hello - I am aware of the built in module for the Post Navigation, however, it only allows for basic arrows or text. I would like to customize the links to show the titles of the next or previous posts along with a thumbnail. I know there are custom options out there or plugins, but I would prefer to do something within X theme or using functions file. Any insights are appreciated. Thank you!

Regretfully there is no option for that at the moment, it would require custom development. I would suggest you please contact a developer who can assist you with your concerns or you can subscribe to One where customization questions are answered. Please note that we don’t provide custom development support. It is out of the support scope.
