Could you please give me an idea of the CSS syntax to achieve this?
I would like it to look more like this, much thinner and with it only appearing when you scroll on the inside of page to move it away from the primary scroll.

It should work the same as in the demo.
Can you try updating the theme to latest version and see if that fixes the issue.
Remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
