Custom style for Callout Element

How do I style the callout element in the Renew stack?

I tried adding the following to my “additional css” but the only change I am seeing is the border radius. (no change in the border color or background color)

.x-callout {
border-radius: 10px 0px 10px 0px;
border-color: #ccc;
background-color: #eee;
}

Try this:

.x-callout {
border-radius: 10px 0px 10px 0px;
background-color: #ccc;
}

.x-callout:before {
background-color: #eee;
}

Please be sure to apply custom CSS within Customize --> Custom --> CSS.
