Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce not working

Hello,

At our website I am using a plugin for creating additional tabs for Woocommerce Products:
Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce

After switching to Theme X I have a problem that the content for the extra custom tabs is shown in the main tab after some shortcode: [/x_tab] [x_tab class="cross-flow-emulsification-unit_pane"] You can see the problem here:
https://www.aquamarijn.nl/dev/product/emulsification-module/
How can I fix this?

Hello @AQM,

Thanks for writing to us.

We really don’t have tested this plugin with the theme and have not even received any compatibility issue with it till now. I would suggest you contact the plugin author on this.
Although we can’t guarantee a fix we’ll be interested to know why our theme is causing such issues you described if proven. To make sure that is our theme related issue, I would suggest you troubleshoot a few common issues:

1.Plugin Conflict
2.Theme Update related issue
3. Child Theme Related issue

If you discover that an issue is coming from a custom code or 3rd party plugin, kindly consult with a developer or contact the plugin author. Please note that we do not provide support for custom codes and 3rd party plugins.

If none of the above helps and you are still getting the issue, please so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URLcopy your live site to a staging server
– WordPress Admin username/password

Hello @prakash_s,

Thank you for your answer. I have checked and it seems that there is a conflict with the
WP Video Lightbox plugin I am also using. I will try to contact the plugin authors to see if this conflict can be resolved.

You are most welcome @AQM.

Hello @prakash_s,

After some more testing it seems the issue is specific for Theme X. Switching back to other themes (e.g. default twenty-one theme) results in the page displaying correctly. Theme X is up to date and the problem is also there after switching back to the parent Theme X. It seems to me therefor that Theme X in combination with those 2 plugins gives a problem. I would appreciate it if you could have a look at it.

Hi @AQM,

Although it is a 3rd party plugin issue, we are still curious to know the reason behind that. Please note that we do not guarantee a fix or compatibility for conflicting code. As this is a 3rd Party plugin and we don’t have much control over the code. I would also suggest you contact the plugin author on this and let us know the feedback from them.
To investigate it more, please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– FTP/CPanel credentials to access the files.

Hi @tristup,

Thanks for checking this. Somehow, it is the interplay of 2 plugins and the theme that causes the issue. It is for me hard to pinpoint whether the plugins or the theme are the cause. You can find the information in a secure of the fist post of this thread.

Hi @AQM,

I have checked your website and found the issue on the product page you mentioned. But surprisingly, when I changed the custom tab content the problem resolves. I have checked with the Child Theme and Parent Theme both activated, but the problem never comes back.

I have also activated all the plugins but the issue does not come back too. I would suggest you report this to the plugin author even if you didn’t find the issue further.

Thanks

Hi @tristup,

Thanks for checking. I just checked and not all plugins were properly activated. As soon as I activated the WP Video Lightbox plugin the problem returns. This however only happens with Theme X. Other themes do not have the issue.

Hi @AQM,

I would suggest you contact the Plugin Author with all the information and let us know the feedback from them.

Thanks

Hi @tristup,

Already did but no response yet. I will let you know as soon as I get more information.
As a workaround, is there a way to create video lightboxes in Theme X?

Hi AQM,

As a workaround, you can create a Global Block with the Modal element and add the Global Block as a shortcode into the content as you gave added it. Here you can learn how to create a Global Blocks and use it as shortcode.

Hope it helps.
Thanks

Both plugin authors suspect the Theme as this cause. I feel a bit stuck between the plugin authors and and theme developers. Since I was not 100% happy with theme X anyway, I decided to switch to another them and elementor as page builder.

Hi @AQM,

We are really very sorry that you are having problems with our theme, but the problem is coming from the 3rd Party plugin and for what we don’t have any control over. If you have any further queries with our product please let us know, we will be there to help you out.

Thanks
