I hope that Themeco will finally consider an officially supported solution for the creation and management of custom post types. While this could either be done through an extension or an internally built plugin, CPT is often a critical part of our sites. How many X or Pro sites use CPTs? If Themeco support claims plugin support is out of scope and the plugin developer claims conflict with the theme, we are stuck looking for other options. Please put this on the roadmap!

This way it can be taken into consideration for future full integration in the theme. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive.

I don’t think Themeco should build their own CPT solution. They could instead make sure that they are compatible with the likes of Types, Pods Framework, etc.

How is Themeco quantifying the amount of interest in a particular feature? There are periodically polls but no solution for users to vote on other individual feature requests. Is the system reliant on the interest in this forum on particular posts?

We have our internal system where we add feature requested and we add votes whenever the same / similar requests come up.
