I installed Easy Custom Post and created a custom post named Insights.
I was wondering how I could get the custom post type to have the default blog Post Formats like video, quote, audio etc…?
Hey There,
You can try with this plugin instead: https://wordpress.org/plugins/types/.
Hope it helps
Thai,
Thanks for the link. I did try that plugin but I’m getting the same results.
Here’s my scenario again…
I created a custom post type named Topics, and added a field group with two fields for audio files url.
When I created a new Topic the field group is present but remains present when I changed the Post Format to video, standard, link, image, gallery, etc…
What I’m trying to accomplish is a Custom Post Type with the ability to post with either of the Post Formats available and how to get those field groups to change as I change the Post Format?
For instance if a create a regular post I have the option of changing the post format to either video or audio, etc. and the available field groups appear so that I could input the necessary info. That’s what I’m trying to accomplish with a custom post.
When I view the post I get an missing file response.
See screenshots…
Is this possible?
Thanks, Don
Hi There,
You will need to ask the plugin developer or refer to the plugin documentation to learn how to set it up. Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.
