Custom post item created in Cornerstone not showing up on filter results

We have a custom post type where we enabled Cornerstone and grant it full access.

There are already some “pages” under that custom post type that were created using Cornestone.

However, whenever we create a new page under that custom post type and select the Clone Existing option, some of the those pages do not show up in the search results so we can’t clone them (please see attached video for reference).

Is there a setting that we’re missing to make sure all pages are showing up in the filter results in the editor?

Thanks!

Hi @xponent21,

Thanks for reaching out.
There is a limit to the number of pages/posts displayed in the list. If you’re unable to find the exact page/post by browsing, you can use the search bar at the top to quickly locate it.

Thanks,

@tristup can you please thoroughly read my previous post and watch the video I reference for us to avoid unnecessary back and forth?

I already mentioned that some items are missing from the search results and that’s also depicted on the video I attached.

I would appreciate it if you would put a bit more effort in your next response. Thank you.

Hi @xponent21,

Sorry for the confusion earlier. What I meant to say is that the page/post should appear in the search results. If it’s not showing, there could be different reasons behind the issue.
First, I recommend updating Pro to the latest version and checking if that resolves the problem. If not, please go through the following common troubleshooting steps to help narrow down the cause.

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization
6.Disabling Cache
7.Disabling CDN

Thanks @tristup. I will go over the troubleshooting list and report back with the login details if the issue persists.

The issue still persists, unfortunately.

I disabled all the plugins and switched to the parent theme and I’m still able to see some of the items in the search results.

More details and the logins are in the Secure Note.

Thanks for your help so far.

Hello There,

Be advised that there is a limit of up to 25 items per post type to be displayed. You will have to use the Post Type selector to see all the items.

  • Please see the secure note below.

Please make sure that the page you are trying to duplicate is built with the builder. Items created outside the builder will not be displayed.

Hope this helps.

@ruenel, thanks for the response but it does not address the main question at all on why the ‘Spring Run…’ page is not showing up in the search result under the Clone Existing as shown in the screenshot I have included in my previous post despite it being built in Cornerstone.

I provided you with the login details, screenshots, video recordings, and links to the post in question and I would appreciate it if you can please take the time to login and check, and address the main question.

Thanks again!

Hey @xponent21,

By default, there will be at least 25 items per post type.

  • See the secure note

When selecting a particular Post Type, there is also a limit of up to 100 items only.

In your case, you have 105 Campaign items. There will be at least 5 items that will not be displayed. The remaining five other items can be access through search.

The Clone Existing Modal displays 100 items only. The sort/filter only applies to the 100 items. I believe that there is a bug here. The search function should return items from the database and not just from the 100 items being displayed.

I have forwarded this thread to our developers so that they will investigate this issue further.

PS:
Instead of using the Clone Existing feature, you can also use the “Duplicate” icon in the Side Panel when looking for the document.
