Custom Font File Location

Is it possible to specify the path to a custom font. I would prefer not to put the file in the media library. Thanks!

Regretfully, that is not possible.

I’d really like to see that change. In the past it’s been possible to specify fonts in the style.css file in your child theme and put the font files in a subfolder there. I hope that comes back.

Thanks for writing to us.

You may use fonts using custom CSS code please have a look at this article to learn more about how to use custom fonts using custom CSS code.

Please note if you would use the font by uploading the font file in the child theme subfolder and using it through the custom CSS code, you would not get those fonts on the page builder element settings.

That’s what I’ve been doing as a workaround. I was just hoping there was a way to make them show up in the builder. Also, the google fonts list through the builder is not up to date. The google font “Birthstone Bounce” is not in the list.
