Custom Code Just Not Saving Reliably

Has anyone had any trouble saving custom code in the builder lately? I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why like 80% of the time, my custom CSS is not being written tot he DB after I save. The “Awesome!” message displays like everything went well but the styles just are not saving. Then I try again 6 times and randomly, it does finally save. But is maddening along the way.

I have confirmed this by looking directly in phpMyAdmin and seeing that my changes are not there as expected after a save. The builder reflects the changes but they are just not saving.

This is a new build I am just starting to work on…
There is no caching plugin…
There is no Cloudflare or other network complication…
Confirmed it is not anything in my Child Theme by activating parent and reproducing issue…
It is not a plugin issue…

It is just nor saving a lot of the time and this is slowing my work down significantly.

Any ideas?

Thanks for writing in! If you have inserted the code in the builder, it should be saved in the database. Did you happen to refresh the preview page and noticed that the code is gone? Please provide us with your WP details and the layout or page you have inserted your custom code so that we can check. You can create a secure note in your next reply with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
– Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site

The Secure note has been added. But I am also actively working on this site today. Please reply and let me know when you are going to be trying to replicate the issue. I will be monitoring my email for this so I can get out of your way.

Hey @simeoned,

I have created a test page in the secure note below. Both the borders of the column on that test page is run by a custom CSS. If the code is not in the database, it should not work when you refresh or load the page in the builder.

Please do check the test page.
