Custom 404 page on a loop

I made a button with a link directing it to my homepage but, every time I click the button, it refreshes to the custom 404 page. How can I fix this?

I found out what I was doing wrong. I was typing “www.example.net” in the href= code. The way I fixed my issue was to put ( href="**https://**www.example.net " ). I can’t believe I forgot that lol.
